Silvia Streiff grew up in an equine family and has been riding since her early childhood. She successfully completed a diploma in Amateur Riding Instruction in Germany and was the founder of Equitour, an international agency for worldwide equestrian holidays and stud-farm tours. With her late partner, Andreas Zindel, who was a well known and very knowledgeable horseman, she was first introduced to the world of horse breeding (primarily Thoroughbreds). With him she learnt the importance and value of studying genetics in pedigrees through several generations. Today, Silvia is breeding Hanoverian sport horses with great zeal and enthusiasm.  Several times a year she travels to the most important breeding areas in Lower Saxony in order to participate in breeding seminars, stallion licensing, mare-shows and performance tests of young horses.  One of her most important aims is to constantly seek advice from successful breeders and never to think to know but constantly endeavour to learn.
